Service Projects

Our Service Projects During 2011 - 2012:

We were very busy during our fifth year as Scouts! We worked hard to earn GSNEO's Year of Service Award for our forth consecutive year and the Gold Level President's Volunteer Service Award! Great job! The past two years we earned the Bronze and Silver President's Volunteer Service Awards.

We completed: water conservation and pet product collection, WPUMC replennishment project and are getting ready for our community service project this summer.

We completed USO collection, Gift of Caring Goodwill Collection and Bountiful Bowls in March!

We participated in Pat Catan's Make It Don't Take It! Valentine's Day card project in which we made over 80 cards to be distributed to area nursing home residents.

We went to Austin Woods Nursing Center for an afternoon of BINGO!

We completed a canned goods collection for the Second Harvest Foodbank, Military Care Packages, made and distributed cards for WP Retirement Home tenents and McDonald's emergency responders.

We completed Goodwill Good Turn Day and Project Linus.

We made cards for the Cleveland Veteran's Hospital for Veteran's Day and Hospice.

We completed our Make a Difference Day 3rd Annual Reverse Trick or Treat Project.

A new activity for us this year is working with the AdoptaPlatoon organization. This enables us to support our troops year-round!

We collected good, used items for WPUMC's rummage sale!

Our second project this year was a school kit collection in conjunction with our sponsor, WPUMC and UMCOR.

Our first project completed this year was a Recycle Card project for St. Jude's.
