Service is a very important part of Girl Scouting. Our troop takes this responsibility very seriously. We offer the girls the opportunity to earn fun patches for participating in the events we hold at the troop level and those at the council level. We will list the upcoming service projects once we start our meetings in September. We will also need registered adult volunteer participation in order to make this a success. Please see the Adult Volunteer Opportunities for more details.

Since recycling is an ongoing activity, we will continue this project into the 2010 - 2011 year. This will be our pop tab collection. Our sponsor is collecting pop tabs to recycle. Scouts may bring in tabs to contribute to this recycling effort.

Our first project is a school kit collection in conjunction with our sponsor and UMCOR.

We were very busy during our third year as Scouts! We completed 15 service projects with over 450 hours volunteered! All troop members earned GSNEO's Year of Service Award and the President's Volunteer Service Award! Great job! We are going for the silver level this coming year!
